Parish Plan

Updated 31st December 2011:  Soon to be replaced by a Community Led Plan

The Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Plan was officially launched on Sunday, 1st March 2009 at the Old School Room, Church Street , Haworth .

Three and half years ago the Parish Council decided that it needed a plan that covered what the parish both needed and wanted to see in the short, medium and long term.

An independent steering committee was formed in 2006 and, after an extensive series of public consultation meetings; meetings with specific interest groups and consideration of other plans which impact upon the Parish, the Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Plan has been compiled.

To ensure that the Plan remains a living document the Steering Committee will hand over responsibility for the Plan to a Delivery Committee very soon after the official launch. This delivery committee will be comprised of both lay members and Parish Councillors.Parish Plan cover

The Plan is designed to project service delivery and policy creation over the next twenty five years and the process to review has begun taking into account the Localism Bill proceeding through Westminster.

It has been lodged with both Bradford Metropolitan District Council and the Government and will be the main guide for Parish Council activity and expenditure.
